This newspaper cutting from The Southern Star brings us back to the launch of our original book in 1999, From Ilen to Roaring Water Bay – Fascinating Reminiscences, which was published to mark the 21st anniversary of the Aughadown Guild of the Irish Countrywomen's Association (ICA). Volume 1 of the book captured the memories, experiences, and stories of local people, preserving a valuable part of our history and heritage for future generations.

As we look forward to the launch of Volume 2 next Friday evening, we’re delighted to continue that tradition, bringing you more memories, more stories, and more glimpses into the lives and times of our local community.
